Then Rani travels to 1951 to help Sarah Jane, who has been reunited with her long-lost parents. Sarah Jane needs to defeat the Trickster - but will the price she has to pay be too high?

TECHNOLOGY: Berserkers have technology of some sort that gives people who have one of their Berserker Penants the power to rule others. They can tell others what to do and they will automatically do it. However, soon the pendant begins to take them over and they eventually turn into a Berserker.

WEAKNESSES: People who are possesed as a Berserker will transform back into their normal self when reminded of their true life.

HISTORY:
Berserkers, a race of extremely evil alien soldiers, sent out many, many pendants to build up their army. The pendants would transform the user into a Berserker, thereby

The last sighting of one of these pendants was in December 1940 in the Park Vale Army Barracks in Ealing. In the same month, the base was destroyed by a German bomb. 15 Years later the Park Vale Secondary School was built there. 53 years after the school was built the pendant was discovered by a tenage boy when piping was being altered. Thereby, the events continue into the SJA story 'Mark of the Berserker'.

Communications Device
Neural Implants - an alternative to hypnosis to control people.
Drones - football-sized flying spheres that act as guards.
Cloaking Field - enables a Sontaran to make objects or themselves invisible.
Automatic helmet - this helmet retracts into the armour, unlike the Sontaran helmet worn by General Staal in 'The Sontaran Stratagem' which had to be manually removed.

WEAKNESSES: Once hit on their Probic Vent (on the back of their neck), Sontarans are rendered temporily powerless.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Commander Kaagh was part of the Tenth Sontaran Battle Fleet's Special Assault Squad.
Kaagh was being sent down to Earth in a Sontaran space pod when the main ship exploded (DW - 'The Poison Sky') and sent it off course. He was nearly killed by exposure to G-force and the damage to his pod. But he came out unscathed, apart from scars on his face and hands. He had crash-landed in a wood, near a radio telescope called Tycho.
He was the only Sontaran survivor of their attempted invasion of Earth using ATMOS (DW - 'The Sontaran Stratagem', 'The Poison Sky').

WEAKNESSES: The Xylok was infected and shut down using the Armageddon virus ('The Lost Boy').

OTHER INFORMATION:
About 60 million years ago a meteorite, with Xyloks attached, crashed into Earth; none of the Xyloks could escape. The volcano Krakatoa erupted in 1883 and one Xylok was released. It was eventually found by archeologists, who sent it on to Sarah Jane Smith. The Xylok communicated with her through her laptop. It then created a super-advanced computer system which was hidden in Sarah Jane's attic wall so no one would find it.

The Xylok, now called Mr Smith, waited until the right moment and eventually contacted the Slitheen because he knew they would want revenge for what Sarah Jane did to their family. The Slitheen thought it was helping them, but the Xylok was actually planning on using the Luke Smith's telekinetic mind power to bring the moon crashing down on Earth, therefore freeing all the other Xyloks.

Sarah Jane managed to wipe Mr Smith's memory using the Armageddon computer virus. He had now forgotten his 'purpose' and did as Sarah Jane told him: to put the moon back into its correct orbit and save Earth.

The Trickster used a gun-like device to dispose of Sarah Jane's car.
He could teleport, but it is unknown how he is able to do this.

POWERS: He could change reality, but had to have someone's consent.

WEAKNESSES: Without a person's consent for something he is utterly powerless.

OTHER INFORMATION:

He has something called the Trickster's Brigade for which some alien creatures work for, e.g. Time Beatle (DW - 'Turn Left') and Graske.
The Trickster lives on chaos, this is why he takes Sarah Jane out of her timeline so a meteorite could destroy Earth and cause chaor in the future as well.
In 'Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane', he mentioned to Sarah Jane when she was in Limbo that he would investigate her memories of the Doctor. This could be a reason for the events in 'Turn Left', as the Time Beatle was part of the Trickster's Brigade.

An individual Graske is able to use a device on its belt to teleport ('Attack of the Graske').
They can use a device which replaces an individual with a Changling, who would look exactly like the actual person apart from the glowing green eyes. The real individual would then be transported back to Griffoth to be kept in a Stasis Chamber to maintain the Changling copy ('Attack of the Graske').
A tazer-like gun which could, once it had connected with its target, take people out of time and put them in Limbo - it could also reverse the process, fixing their timeline as well ('Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?').

When Gorgons touch their victim, their victim turns to stone.

WEAKNESSES: If the blue, serpentine Gorgons are deflected away from their victim by a mirror they go straight back to their Host (who they possess) which then turns the Host into stone, destroying the Gorgons in the process

3 Gorgons came to Earth in about 1000 BC using a talisman, entering into Greek mythology along the way. 1 Gorgon was slain by a Greek hero, a 2nd by a man and his wife (Edgar and Bea) in 1959, and the last Gorgon survived.

Another Butterfly Person, a completely different individual, appeared in the Torchwood Series 1 episode 'Greeks Bearing Gifts' and possesed the body of a woman called Mary.
The Veran Sooth Sayer, who Sarah Jane mentioned in 'Journey's End' as giving her a warpstar, is also a Butterfly person, but was never on screen.

They are a criminal family; in 'Aliens of London' and 'World War Three' the Slitheen were originally planning on destroying Earth and then selling it.

TECHNOLOGY: Image Translators help the Bane to take the form of humans.

WEAKNESSES: They have a physical aversion to mobile phone transmissions and the spray that was in Sarah Jane's attic.

OTHER INFOMATION:

They are a tentacled alien species, with sucker pads underneath each tentacle, much like the Earth species Octupus, who are cephalopods.
In the Sarah Jane Adventures pilot episode, 'Invasion of the Bane', they added the Bane enzyme to their marketed drink, Bubble Shock, to keep people addicted, although 2% of people were emmune to this.

Sarah Jane Smith and her young friends investigate some ghostly goings on at the local Lavender Lawns rest home, in the second two-part story of the adventure filled series. With several residents claiming to have seen the ghostly figure of a nun, Sarah Jane, Luke and Clyde pay the home a visit to find out what's going on. They soon discover that there is more to the story when Luke is entrusted with a mysterious alien talisman by Mrs Bea Nelson-Stanley, a resident at the home who knows a thing or two about aliens. As the mystery unravels, the gang learn that the ghostly nun is, in fact, part of an order protecting the Gorgon – a scary alien creature who can turn her victims to stone with just one look. With the talisman an important part of the Gorgon's plans for Earth, can Sarah Jane and the gang stop her, and avoid her deadly gaze?

PART TWO:
As Luke and Clyde are held hostage at St Agnes Abbey, the monstrous Gorgon and her sinister group of nuns manage to get hold of the alien talisman from Sarah Jane and Maria, as the drama continues. This brings them one step closer to their evil plan to open a portal and unleash more Gorgons on Earth. With her dad, Alan, turned to stone by the Gorgon's deadly gaze, Maria sets out to get him back to normal before it is too late. Back at the Abbey, Sarah Jane and the gang try to stop the nuns from opening the door to the Gorgons' alien world. But will they be able to avoid the Gorgon's stony eyes for long enough to save the day?

They soon discover that the Slitheen have disguised themselves as teachers as part of a deadly plan which threatens the future of the Earth. But as Maria, Luke and Clyde become trapped in the new technology block in the clutches of the Slitheen and with Sarah Jane under attack from another of the alien monsters, will the gang be able to stop the Slitheen before it's too late?

PART TWO:

Trapped in school with the monstrous child of the Slitheen, Maria, Luke and Clyde make a timely escape thanks to some deodorant and the help of Sarah Jane and her sonic lipstick, as the drama continues. With the Slitheen's deadly plans to destroy the Earth well under way, the gang race back to Sarah Jane's attic to work out how to stop them. Helped by Mr Smith, Sarah Jane's super-computer, they soon discover that the Slitheen are going to drain all the energy from Earth using a worldwide network of giant supercapacitors. But as a power black-out starts to spread across the world, taking Mr Smith out of action, time is running out and the gang have to rely on their wits alone. Will they be able to save the Earth before the Slitheen switch off the sun?
